Ms Mackay is a physiotherapist with over 14 years of experience, most of this specialising in paediatric gait analysis at The Royal Children’s Hospital. She has completed a post-graduate certificate in paediatric physiotherapy and research about gait and participation of adolescents with idiopathic torsional malalignment.
Since 2020, she has been involved in coordinating research projects for NF with Dr Gabriel Dabscheck at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. This includes coordinating MRFF funded multi-site national study to set up a biobank registry of ctDNA and tumour samples for the development of a liquid biopsy to identify MPNST in NF1.
