BSc(Hons)/LLB(Hons) MBBS(Hons) | Clinical Genetics Advanced Trainee
Dr McLean is a Clinical Genetics Fellow at Royal North Shore, Hospital. After completing Basic Physicians Training in Adult Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, she has worked as a Clinical Genetics Advanced Trainee at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.
Prior to Medicine, she completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Genetics at UNSW and was awarded the University Medal in Genetics. She also completed a Bachelor of Law (Hons) following which she was admitted as a Solicitor and worked as a Graduate Lawyer at the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department.
She is a current recipient of an Avant Foundation Early Career Research Grant. Dr McLean is interested in the ethics of innovative technologies and is passionate about teaching students and colleagues about the application of genetics in medical practice.
