Ms Maier is a research psychologist within the Brain and Mind Group at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and a clinical neuropsychologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Her research and clinical interests are in the cognitive and psychosocial management of children with genetic conditions, neuro-developmental disorders, and paediatric cancer. In her research role, she coordinates several national NF1 studies including the TiNT and TAP-iN clinical trials. She has recently commenced a PhD at the University of Melbourne which will explore the cognitive and neurobiological markers of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents with NF1.
